Join the End Parenting Poverty Protest on 1st June 2025
On Sunday 1st June 2025, parents, carers, allies and advocates will come together in London for a peaceful protest with a powerful purpose: to End Parenting Poverty.
This isn’t just a march. It’s a movement.
As the End Parenting Poverty campaign edges closer to 100,000 petition signatures—the milestone that will force the issue into parliamentary debate—we’re taking to the streets to demand real, lasting change for parents and families across the UK.
The message is simple:
Raising children should not put families at risk of poverty.
Behind every statistic are real people—mothers skipping meals to feed their kids, fathers forced to leave work because childcare costs more than they earn, families stretched to breaking point by a system that was never designed to support them.
We believe it’s time to say enough.
What to Expect on the Day
The protest will begin outside Downing Street where we will gather. This moment of unity will set the tone for what will be a peaceful, family-friendly walk to Westminster.
We’ll be marching in support of:
Accessible, affordable childcare
Fair parental leave
Better protections for working parents
Targeted support for low-income families
A society that values caregiving, not penalises it
There will be families, buggies, banners, music and media. It will be a peaceful protest—but impossible to ignore.
Who Can Join?
Everyone is welcome. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, friend, employer, or simply someone who believes that no one should be punished for raising the next generation—you have a place in this movement.
Bring your voices. Bring your children. Bring your hope.
Why It Matters
Parenting shouldn’t be a privilege only the wealthy can afford.
This protest is about sending a clear message: it’s time for change. With your help, we can create the noise, the visuals and the momentum needed to make politicians listen and act.
